Académie Charpentier

Formation

Learning precision, learning freedom

General knowledge, Science and Technology, English, Computer Graphics are included in the program of all the second, third and fourth years.

Second year :

The aim is to develop creativity and imagination, communication and confrontation; to appropriate symbols and codes; to access languages (section, plan, elevation, perspective, roughs); and to understand the ideas of ergonomics, industrial aesthetics, product design, brand image, themes and concept.

third year:

Added to the in-depth curriculum of the second year, we have classic composition, the carrying out of life-like project situations, the relationship with the city, all implications linked to our relationship with space and volume, and designing objects. Models, series, scenarios, mastery of languages, prototypes contribute to the organization of learning.

Academic cycle of higher education

Fourth year:

Learning happens at a different pace: students learn to manage their own time and carry out their research. This year allows them to ‘confront’ different skills, to synthetise them and also to develop their own creativity.

The student goes on a mandatory work placement, which will serve as a practical base for his/her end of study report, presented in front of a jury panel.

Fifth year :

It plays the decisive role of being a ‘passage to adulthood’. A real choice of profession is made at this point.
